MENTORING / CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Although we provide several resources in-house, we are also able to connect you to the various resources available in the community. When you enroll into the Western Slope WAGEES program you will be assigned to a Care Manager who is knowledgable in what is available in the community. This Care Manager will become a mentor and advocate to support you on your journey to success.

HOUSING SERVICES

Having a safe and stable place to live can make all the difference when you are trying to change your life around. We can help you meet this need in a couple ways.

- Housing Assistance. If you are actively working the Western Slope WAGEES program by maintaining employment, attending the classes and therapy session assigned to you by the Division of Adult Parole, and any other commitments you have made to better yourself, then we can help you get into your own place. If you already live in your own place and find yourself in trouble we can help you with your rent.

- Transitional Housing Program. If you're struggling with homelessness or finding a safe and stable place to live, then you may be a good fit for the transitional housing program. Individuals in the transitional housing program live in our homes and can earn up to $2,500 in incentives after ten months that can be used to acquire their lease on a home. Ask your Western Slope WAGEES Care Manager about the program if you are interested.

LIFE BUILDING SERVICES

The circumstances that lead up to incarceration start in the unhealthy ways you may think, and often the troublesome thinking patterns that individuals face are also rooted in unresolved trauma. In recognition of this reality, we have developed a few supports to help you heal from the past and gain the critical skills to change your life. We offer the following supports to help you:

- Life Skills. This group covers essential life skills for a parolee. It is designed to help you obtain the tools you need to cope with everyday issues. The group is ten weeks long, and you will receive a $100 cash incentive upon completion.

- Freedom in Recovery. Freedom in Recovery is a support group that borrows elements of Celebrate Recovery and AA's twelve-step program. The group is lead by individuals who have been incarcerated and addicted, but have found Freedom in Recovery!
